The itinerary
Day 1
Muscat · Wadi Bani Awf
Tour through dramatic mountain roads and remote valleys, and enjoy your first night at camp in the mountains.
Day 2
Al Hamra · Misfat Al Abriyeen · Jabal Shams
Explore traditional villages, lush palm oases and dramatic canyon views. Overnight camping in the Jabal Shams area.
Day 3
Nizwa · Wahiba Sands
Visit historic Nizwa, then head to the golden dunes of the Wahiba for a magical desert sunset and a night at a Bedouin-style camp.
Day 4
Wadi Bani Khalid · Ras Ruwais
Swim in turquoise oasis pools, then continue to the coast, where golden dunes meet the sea. Overnight coastal camping.
Day 5
Sur · Bimmah · Return to Muscat
Explore Sur's coastal heritage, visit the stunning Bimmah sinkhole, and enjoy the final scenic stops on the drive back to Muscat.
