The itinerary
Day 1 · 15 Oct
Arrival & a warm Omani welcome
Airport meet and greet, transfer and check-in at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Muscat.
Day 2 · 16 Oct
Muscat: culture, colour & coastal charm
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Royal Opera House, the fish market and Mutrah Souq, then Bait Al Zubair Museum and Al Alam Palace.
Day 3 · 17 Oct
Fragrance, fortresses & palm-filled landscapes
The Amouage perfume factory, Barka fish market, Nakhal Fort and the hot springs before returning to Muscat.
Day 4 · 18 Oct
Birkat Al Mouz & the Green Mountain
Birkat Al Mouz and Falaj Al Khatmain, then Jabal Akhdar's terraced farms before checking in at Nizwa.
Day 5 · 19 Oct
Nizwa heritage & Oman's Grand Canyon
Nizwa Souq with an optional fort visit, then Jabal Shams for the canyon views.
Day 6 · 20 Oct
Ancient tombs to golden Wahiba Sands
Zukait tower tombs and the abandoned village of Al Minzafah, then 4x4 into the dunes for a desert camp and dinner.
Day 7 · 21 Oct
Wadi Bani Khalid & the dhows of Sur
Swimming pools and rocky scenery in the wadi, then Sur's dhow factory and an overnight on the coast.
Day 8 · 22 Oct
Wadi Shab & Bimmah Sinkhole
A scenic hike and swim in Wadi Shab, then Bimmah Sinkhole before the final night in Muscat.
Day 9 · 23 Oct
A fond farewell to Oman
